Plovdiv, Bulgaria 5.9.13

Today we went to another part of Bulgaria which is not Sofia, it was Plovdiv!!! Plovdiv is a place that holds ancient ruins from the 2nd Century, to like the 19th Century. Plovdiv was amazing because at first we just had a little look around at all of the old, old buildings. Then we went to look inside a museum which was an 18th century house. It was also AMAZING because it showed: 1. The clothes that the Bulgarian people used to wear 2.the things that they fought with and, 3. Story of fighting against the Ottoman Turks.

When we were coming into Plovdiv the road we drove on was all made out of Cobbles and Stones!!! From Sofia to Plovdiv our driver (Daniel) drove us to Plovdiv, and it took 1 hour and a half. We also had lunch at Plovdiv  and everyone else got their meal except for me. Finally I got my meal. It was Chicken Kebab (again)!

Cobblestone roads

At Plovdiv we also went to see the Roman ruins. They are my favourite part because once upon a time it looked like in the picture (this is just the model). We went and sat down on the only dug up section of the ruins, because the rest were under-ground!!!!!!!!!! It was SUPER long if you could see it and it was not buried. It was 300 hundred meters long, and 30,000 people could all sit in it!!

Tomorrow we are DRIVING to Serbia, Belgrade. It takes 4 hours!!!
