Today was our second day in Istanbul. We went to three different places. They were: the Sunken Cistern, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. My favourite place was the Blue Mosque because inside of it, all the tiles were designed with all different kinds of beautiful patterns. Heaps of these tiles were blue and that is why it is called the Blue Mosque!
The Sunken Cistern was really cool. It was once a water storage for the city from over one thousand years ago. It was really dark and wet and all the columns were amazing.

In Hagia Sophia, the most amazing thing was the dome and all the signs in Arabic writing. There were heaps of people and you were allowed to take photos which surprised all of us. This church was huge and it is hard to say what is was like because of how big it is!

The next lot of photos are of the Blue Mosque and I have told you about that already. There was also a man chanting and some other people praying which was interesting to watch. Patrick was a bit naughty because he tried to go through the fence but his head got stuck until Dad pushed it back!

For lunch we went to a kebab shop and it was delicious! Tonight when we got back to our apartment, Bridget disappeared. When she came out, Teddy's clothes were wet. Mum asked her why and she said Teddy's clothes were dirty so she washed them in the toilet! She is so funny!!
Kebabs for lunch!

Love all your photos and chit-chat. We are still getting the hang of the blog and didn't realise there was more. Sorry, we are a bit slow. We were amazed by the Blue Mosque too but we didn't get to see the Sunken Cistern. That looked great.
